Norwegian Cruise Line introduces the All-New Norwegian Aura™

Norwegian Cruise Line introduces Norwegian Aura™, its newest and largest ship, designed to take family holidays to the next level. Created to bring guests closer to the sea, the ship features expansive open-air spaces that seamlessly blend high-energy thrills with moments of relaxation, from day to night.

At the centre of the experience is Ocean Heights™, the line’s first multi-level open-air complex, offering something for every mood. Guests can race down duelling waterslides, take on the ropes course, or unwind in overhanging cabanas, creating unforgettable moments with family and friends.

Setting sail in May 2027, Norwegian Aura will offer seven-day Caribbean cruises, calling at either Harvest Caye, Norwegian Cruise Line’s resort-style destination in Belize, or Great Stirrup Cay, the company’s private island in the Bahamas. Recent and upcoming enhancements to Great Stirrup Cay include the new Great Life Lagoon, Vibe Shore Club for adults, and the nearly six-acre Great Tides Waterpark, set to open in 2026.

“We are proud to introduce the newest and largest addition to our fleet, Norwegian Aura,” said Harry Sommer, president and chief executive officer of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. “The ship represents the evolution of Norwegian Cruise Line, bringing people together and giving guests the freedom to vacation their own way.”

Spanning decks 18 to 21, Ocean Heights will be the ultimate hub for multi-generational fun, featuring the most waterslides of any NCL ship, a ropes course, rock-climbing wall, mini golf, outdoor games, overhanging private cabanas and a dedicated bar—all transforming seamlessly from day to night.

Guests aboard Norwegian Aura will enjoy more ways than ever to relax, refresh, and soak up the sun in the ship’s expanded and enhanced spaces. She will boast 1,976 staterooms ranging from studios to suites, of which 159 make up the keycard access-only complex, The Haven by Norwegian.

Prior to homeporting in Miami for her inaugural season in June 2027, Norwegian Aura will sail a seven-day Mediterranean voyage from Trieste, Italy to Barcelona, Spain on May 21, 2027 with calls to Valletta, Malta; as well as Salerno and Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy before returning back to the Caribbean for her 2027/28 season.
