The state-of-the-art MS Roald Amundsen was added to the Hurtigruten fleet in 2019. The vessel features new and environmentally sustainable hybrid technology to reduce fuel consumption and show the world that hybrid propulsion on large ships is possible.

Roald Amunsden, after whom this vessel was named, was the first man to cross Antarctica and reach the South Pole.  Specially constructed for polar waters, she leads the way towards more sustainable travel.
