MS Spitsbergen is named after the largest island of the Svalbard archipelago in Arctic Norway. Constructed in 2009 and repurposed for expedition voyages in 2016, the ship features high technical standards as well as modern public areas and cabins. With a capacity of less than 200 guests, MS Spitsbergen is smaller in size than most of Hurtigruten’s fleet, but no less comfortable.
